Important note: If you have to use a UNSW approved calculator, then you must obtain an approval sticker from The Nucleus: Student Hub to bring the calculator into exams. Your exam timetable will state whether a UNSW approved calculator is needed.Â

If you've fallen sick or are facing circumstances beyond your control which will interfere with your exam performance, you may be eligible for . You will need to provide which clearly details your circumstances.
If you have a long-term medical or mental health condition, are living with a disability or are the primary carer for someone with a disability, contact  for ongoing support throughout your studies.

If you are neurodivergent or have a disability or health condition which could affect your exam performance, you may be eligible to receive alternative exam provisions. You must reach out by Wednesday of the study period in each term.
Have a registered Equitable Learning Plan with Equitable Learning Services (ELS)?
Reach out to for support with exam adjustments. ELS will get in touch with the UNSW Examinations Team and relevant academic staff to organise provisions that work best for you.
Facing a temporary disability, or don't have a registered Equitable Learning Plan with ELS?
You must contact an from ELS as soon as possible after finding out about your disability or condition. You will need to provide supporting medical documentation to receive alternative exam provisions where applicable.

Examination scripts (other than those returned to students) are retained in the relevant school or faculty for six months.
You may request access to your completed examination script and may be able to consult the examiner or the course authority on your performance. Faculties determine the conditions under which access is granted.

If your examination timetable states that you require a UNSW approved calculator, you must obtain an approval sticker from The Nucleus: Student Hub.
If your calculator is not on the exam approved calculators list, additional calculators can be considered by the exams team: exams@unsw.edu.au.

UNSW no longer offers external invigilation for students from other institutions.

The UNSW Exams team do not give resits, or supplementary exams.
Students are only entitled to a supplementary exam after being approved for one, either via a special consideration application, or by their school for being a potential graduand – someone who is in their final term at UNSW.Â

The Exams team is responsible for the running of the centrally managed final exams only. For more information regarding your exam/assessment, please reach out to your course convenor or school. Contact details can be found on Moodle or in your Course Outline.

Students are only able to enter their final exams on-campus within the first 30 minutes, per the UNSW exam rules. The time does not include reading or extra time.
- For your morning exam you will not be admitted to the exam after 10:30am.
- For your afternoon exam you will not be admitted to the exam after 2:30pm.
- For your evening exam you will not be admitted to the exam after 6:30pm.
