School visits
The Co-op Program welcomes applications from high school students Australia-wide and we want to get the message out to as many students as possible.
As part of a school visit, our Scholar Ambassadors speak to your students about what the Co-op Program is, how to apply, and share their unique stories and experiences gained through the program. They offer a very real, honest insight into what it means to be a Co-op scholar studying at UNSW.
Schools in Greater Sydney can opt for an in-person visit or a Virtual Visit via Zoom.
All other locations will be Virtual via Zoom.
If you are interested in booking a school visit, please visit the link below.
We appreciate your support in communicating and facilitating your students' Co-op applications.

Indigenous & Gateway Flexibility
-
The UNSW Gateway Admission Pathway offers early entry to UNSW or an adjusted lower ATAR entry requirement for a range of degrees for students in Year 12 who either attend a Gateway school or whose home address meets Socio-Economic Indexes for Areas (SEIFA). The Co-op Program supports the Gateway initiative, recognising that ATAR is not the only indicator of a student鈥檚 potential. As a Career Development Program, we understand the enormous richness & value that comes from diversity.
The Co-op application process is聽not聽connected to the Gateway Admission Pathway process for an early conditional offer. For students in the Gateway cohort Co-op considers an adjusted minimum ATAR of 90, and offers up to 4 Gateway placements each year.聽NB.聽Gateway students who meet the standard Co-op entry requirement ATAR will not count toward these places.
- You will need to apply for a Co-op Scholarship through the Co-op Application portal, and the Interview & Offer process runs in parallel with any Gateway Application.
- Our system will recognise that you are a student from a Gateway School, and this will be taken into consideration in assessment of your application, and consideration for interview.
- If made a conditional offer, we will work with UNSW Admissions team to make offers with the wider ATAR consideration if required.
