We’re thrilled to announce our first Applied Biosystems Axiom™ PangenomiX Array project! Launched in 2024 by Thermo Fisher Scientific, this array is their largest and most ethnically diverse to date.
Our inaugural project was conducted for A/Prof. Natalia Castano-Rodriguez’s lab at UNSW, where her team leveraged this cutting-edge technology to genotype hundreds of thousands of genetic variants in a cohort of 1,425 individuals.
Their research aims to characterize and validate a genetic-microbial signature linked to stomach cancer, helping to identify those most at risk. This work could pave the way for targeted prevention strategies, reducing the high costs, unintended health consequences, and rising antibiotic resistance associated with mass Helicobacterpylori eradication—challenges that disproportionately affect marginalized populations.
