I am a historian of philosophy with a PhD in Classics from the University of Sydney. My main area of interest is ancient Greek philosophy and I am (in the process of!) shifting my focus towards more generic issues in the historiography of philosophy - that is, I am looking into how historians of philosophy go about writing the history of philosophy. In particular, I am interested in the role played by hindsight, especially as it pertains to the Presocratics, who (by all accounts) inaugurated the Western tradition of philosophy.
